
Have I got something fancy for you today!

This here fancy drink is something I will make when I’ve got friends and family coming over for appetizers or dinner. It’s always a hit and those who say “no, no, no thank you” will always take a sip and that’s it for them, they want a glass!

A tip I will always recommend if you are making a signature drink for the evening? Make a batch. Quadruple or however many you think you’ll need. And hey, leftovers are good the next evening as well! This will make your life sooooo much easier in that you will not constantly be the bartender with measuring and mixing every drink. Trust me and do this!

Let’s get to shakin’, shall we?
Tip: fill your glass with ice while you measure your ingredients to chill. Dump that ice in your shaker!

1 ½ ounce of Screwball Whiskey
½ ounce coffee liquor aka Kahlua
1 ½ ounce espresso … I’ve used cold brew and I’ve used instant coffee (3 tsp and 6 ounces of water, allow to cool). Both options work just fine. We hit up Whole Foods the other day and I picked up those little bottles (pricey little things!)
Add all to shaker filled with ice and shake for 20 to 30 seconds.
Strain into martini glass.

Alternatively, IF you don’t care about being fancy but DO care about the spill factor, strain into a short rocks glass.
